Hydroxycut
Review Summary
Hydroxycut is a popular diet product. The product has been featured on numerous late night infomercials. The Hydroxycut website was designed for the different needs of men and women. We found Hydroxycut is not specifically geared toward either gender of dieter. Surprisingly, regardless of how the products are marketed, in the end they happen to sell exactly the same product, with similar ingredients whether you are a man or woman.
Ingredients At A Glance
Hydroxycut contains – Caffeine, Guarana, Green Tea, Garcinia Cambogia Extract and additional ingredients clearly listed at the website.
*Guarana – is a nervous system stimulant derived from the seeds of a Brazilian plant of the same name, it is often found in herbal supplements that promote weight loss.
*Green tea - contains the stimulant, caffeine. Excessive caffeine is known to cause restlessness and/or insomnia. Also, people taking aspirin or blood thinning medications should consult their doctor before taking green tea extracts, because green tea extracts may interfere with blood clotting. More studies are still needed to determine if green tea extracts are truly beneficial for weight loss.
Additional Ingredients
Hydroxycut – does not contain the widely popular active ingredient Hoodia….nor does it contain the safe ephedra alternative: Advantra-Z.
*Garcinia Cambogia Extract – is used in Indian traditional remedies for edema, delayed menstruation, constipation and intestinal parasites. It is also used for rheumatism and bowel complaints widely sold as a component in dietary supplements.
Website
Hydroxycut website supplements their products with specific dieting and exercise news for either gender.
We found the Hydroxycut website to be informative. The experience, in our opinion, was more sales oriented than consumer based. They do however; recommend that if you have any further questions to email.
Positives
• Has a few testimonials
• Product is ephedra-free
• Is sold in stores
Negatives
• Does not contain the appetite suppressant Hoodia
• Hydroxycut – Does not offer a free trial sample
• Does not offer a free gift with your order
• Is more expensive than similar products on the market
Final Thoughts
Hydroxycut in itself is an incomplete formulation. The website alone sells 4 additional weightless supplements. For the purposes of this review we chose Hydroxycut, which is a common discount store brand. Hydroxycut does not contain Hoodia. Without an active modern appetite suppressant, we do not find Hydroxycut to be a complete product. This discount store brand also does not contain Advantra-Z, the patented ephedra-alternative ingredient.
The Hydroxycut formulation alone uses excessive amounts of caffeine. Even with that reason aside, if you wanted to try Hydroxycut, they do not offer a free trial. Hydroxycut doesn’t have the history of positive.
